I recently realized how much I hate paying shipping charges online. I search for all the 'coupon codes' I can to avoid shipping charges. I choose some of my online vendors because they ship for free. I tack one more item onto my order to reach the 'minimum' for free shipping. Paying them somehow always feels like I'm throwing money down the drain, even though I am fully aware that there is a cost to packing and shipping an item. But avoiding the shipping fee feels so liberating each an every time.

LUCCA LOVE

Sometimes running my own business can be lonely. While I pride myself on still being able to produce every piece myself, it also means I am all by myself. Insert Lucca.

If you know about Lucca, you know he is trouble. Cute trouble, but trouble. Lucca is our great dane puppy who joined my husband and me in January and I immediately fell in love. I had imagined him to be someone I could talk to while I bend and twist wires all day. Someone who would force me to take breaks away from my jewelry table for long peaceful walks. But Lucca, he's special. In the first 3 months of owning him, Lucca has managed to get a life threatening illness, a hard to find parasite, become anemic and to top it off- break his leg. He is currently in a cast up to his shoulder and on 'puppybed rest' for 6 weeks.

Basically, Ive got one hand in jewelry and the other holding down a 6 month old (75lb!) puppy. So much for being lonely, we are practically attached at the hip.

Trunk Show at Kate Ross- Thursday night!

It's a Mom's Night Out...

North Park stores Kate Ross and Mimi and Red host a night of pampering and fun. Moushart will be there selling jewelry, including new pieces not yet available on the website! Pictured are the pendants for the Good Fortune Necklace- new for Summer!

The event runs from 6-9 and will include shopping, drinks, mini massages, and big prize give aways! Whether you are a mommy or not, come on out and relax for a bit. Hope to see you there.

Moushart has been invited to participate in an event at Pure Boutique in Hillcrest tonight! Along with several other local jewelers, we will have new designs on display and discounts available throughout the store. The event goes from 6-9. Welcome to Moushart's blog. Finally, I am getting up to speed in the cyber world and allowing handmade to meet high tech. I plan to use this platform to keep fans up to date on new designs, current promotions, upcoming events and Moushart news in general.

The site has just been updated and you will find fresh designs mixed in with your favorites. The biggest addition is the Personalize It section, which is a new collection of handstamped items. Customize it to whatever fits you and each letter is stamped on by hand. My favorite are the Speak Rings.
